Killucan was the focus for a major fundraising event Sunday 19th of March 2017 when 140 tractors set out on a spectacular fundraising event which crossed two counties. Tractors of all shapes and sizes began gathering at 9am at Cunningham’s pub Killucan railways station. There were tractors arriving on the day from 9am, with people from Galway, Navan, Kildare and Dublin among those taking part”. The official move off saw the convoy of tractors travel down the banks of the royal canal and then onto Moran’s, Hill of down and stopped for tea and sandwiches and headed out the trim road back via Raharney to Killucan again.

The Killucan tractor run captured the imagination of communities across the midlands and indeed across Ireland

A special word of thanks to all those who helped in making the occasion the success, and a special word of thanks for the help and assistance given by Cunningham’s, Killucan and Moran’s, Hill of Down,. Thanks to all the sponsors of the tractor run. We would like to say a special word of thanks to everyone who helped to organise the tractor run and who supported us on the day.
